Our Technical Service team has put together a list of questions they are most frequently asked about Nortec's Commercial and Industrial Humidifiers.

What is my password?

  • For most of our newer units our password is 0335
  • For NHMC it is 4142
  • For NHRS, NHSC, NHDI it is 8808

    I don’t have a manual, where can I get one?

    • You can find all our manuals and other helpful resources on our website at: www.humidity.com under the "Resources" tab and under "Downloads".

    Where can I find my local sales agent?

    • On our website at www.humidity.com, under "Find A Rep".  You can locate your local sales agent by zip/postal code.

    Where can I find part #’s?

    • All our manuals have blow-up views and part #’s associated with them.

    How do I wire in my humidistat?

    • Our controls manuals, available on our website have all the wiring diagrams you for all our stats. You can find all our manuals and other helpful resources on our website at: www.humidity.com under the "Resources" tab and under "Downloads".

    What does security loop open mean?

    • One or more of your external on/off controls (Humidistat, high limit, air proving switch, etc.) is either not wired properly or is not calling (closed).

    Who can I speak to about buying a new humidifier?

    • Your local sales agent can help you with all your humidification needs.

    Where can I get replacement cylinders?

    • You can order cylinders and any other part through your local sales agent

    What cylinder # do I need?

    • The 3 digit cylinder # is located on the top left corner of the label that is on the cylinder.

    How long do cylinder last?

    • With normal water quality, a cylinder could last up to 2000 hours.
    What type of humidifier do I have?

    • The spec label located on the right hand side panel, has all the information required, type of unit, serial #, voltage.

          Who can provide me with additional assistance about my humidifier?

          • If you require technical help with your humidifier, our technical support team will be happy to assist you. But, please call from the humidifier, with a voltmeter and the necessary tools.

          If you require service for your Nortec humidifier, please contact your local Nortec representative.
